The Times They Are A-Changin'

Come gather 'round people

Wherever you roam

And admit that the waters

Around you have grown

And accept it that soon

You'll be drenched to the bone.

If your time to you

Is worth savin'

Then you better start swimmin'

Or you'll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin'.

There has been a lot of change in the around me lately. Dear friends parting ways, new members joining the family, babies that aren't really babies anymore.

There are happy changes, like baby stumbling her way to me taking what are some of her first steps. It amazes me how fast they grow. There are dress shopping excursions for a wedding that I'm excited about like it's mine. Son's getting older and "taking care" of his sick parents. He even offered to take the baby to school because we were too sick to take care of her.

There is also sad change. Some I am sure I will never fully understand. People show you what they want you to see, and sometimes you can't see the signs that are clearly there until after it's too late. Most of us don't want to see the bad possibilities in the future. Even still, we take it in and process, and do whatever we can to be there for those that need us, because they would do it for us.

Things go in cycles, there are weddings, babies, divorces, and death. I'd like to say there are more of the first 2 then last, but it's not always the case. Either way, there is always change.
